2 1/2 to 3 Pounds Spare Ribs
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
1/8 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
1 [1 Pound] Can Sauerkraut, drained
1 Apple, cored and diced [with peel]
1 Tablespoon Sugar

Cut spareribs into serving-size pieces.
Sprinkle with Salt and Pepper.
Place on rack in baking pan.
Brown in 400 degree F Oven for 15 minutes;
turn and bron on other side [10-15 minutes]
Pour off drippings.
Spoon Sauerkraut into bottom of slow-cooking pot.
Top with Apple, sprinkle with sugar and cloves,.
Put the ribes on top.
Cover Crock Pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender.
