Vegetarian Tofu Caliente

Recipe Ingredients

1 package (14oz.) Firm Tofu (Soy Bean Curd)
2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
1 Medium onion, chopped
1 Green Bell Pepper, chopped
2 Tablespoons Canola or vegetable oil
1 Large can Tomato Sauce (16oz)
1 Tablespoon Chili Powder

Recipe Directions

Crumble tofu in a bowl and add soy sauce.
Mix and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat oil and sauté onion and bell pepper for about 2 minutes.
Add tofu and sauté until lightly browned.
Add tomato sauce and chili powder to taste.
Simmer for approximately 15 minutes,
stirring frequently.

Serving Suggestion: Serve over rice or couscous.
